A middle-aged woman ran at me because I was laughing at her
They do say that they can be the most fierce when provoked, hence the popularity of the “Karen” archetype. But when you come face-to-face with an angry middle-aged woman, you expect to trade in passive aggressive verbal warfare, rather than being charged at.
A few Fridays ago, this woman was mouthing off to the Manchester Printworks security guards after she’d been thrown out of a bar there. She then caught me laughing at her with another promoter (I promote for one of the bars there) and charged at me, but obviously bruv was too swift and I sidestepped a bit before she could attempt to grapple me to the ground. She managed to pull the hood off my coat though before the security guards pushed her away. She then ran at me again, but my knights in hi vis jackets came to the rescue again, evacuating me to the other side of Printworks and saving me the embarrassment of fisticuffs with a middle-aged woman. I’ve still yet to sew that hood back on though.
